Expanding Landowner Adoption of Snow Control Measures through a Better Understanding of Landowner Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices Status: CompleteReport Date: 01/24/2020 Summary: Research on knowledge, attitudes and practices showed that few landowners know about MnDOT's snow fence program, its benefits to community safety and mobility, and incentives to install snow fences. Following community meetings and surveys in each of four topographical and agricultural regions in Minnesota, researchers identified promising promotional methods for the snow fence program and its benefits for community mobility and safety, the constraints landowners face in adopting snow fences, and incentives and assistance to improve snow fence adoption.
