Web-Based Preventative Blowing and Drifting Snow Control Calculator Decision Tool Status: CompleteReport Date: 05/19/2015 Summary: Investigators converted the Living Snow Fence Payment Calculator from an Excel spreadsheet to a Web-based application (available at snowcontroltools.umn.edu) accessible via both desktop computers and mobile devices. The tool has helped MnDOT more than double the number of standing corn row contracts in the state. MnDOT plans to continue using the tool to grow the living snow fence program.
