Vehicle Speed Impacts of Occasional Hazard (Playground) Warning Signs Status: CompleteReport Date: 02/21/2012 Summary: This research project evaluated whether installing playground warning signs near three parks in Bloomington affected vehicle speeds. Researchers found that the signs had very little impact, but that drivers did slow down when playgrounds were busy and when there were many cars parked along the street.
