Major Equipment Life-cycle Cost Analysis Status: CompleteReport Date: 04/28/2015 Summary: This project attempted to develop a tool that local agencies can use to perform a life-cycle cost analysis for equipment to determine the most cost-effective time for equipment replacement. The Excel tool is available for local agency use, but it proved difficult to develop a widely agreed-upon analysis methodology. Project results may inform national research in this area and produced useful case studies of asset evaluation and maintenance practices.
