Compaction Remediation for Construction SitesStatus: CompleteReport Date: 01/01/2008 Summary: Machinery passing over the right of way during highway construction results in severe soil compaction, which complicates storm water management and requires the purchase of additional land for retaining ponds. Researchers used deep tilling on a variety of soils with different plow types over two growing seasons. Deep tilling proved to be an ROW rehabilitation method.
