Use of Recycled Brick in AggregatesStatus: CompleteReport Date: 08/26/2013 Summary: Researchers evaluated recycled brick for its suitability as an aggregate material in base and surface courses. Most types of brick performed well in tests of absorption, abrasion resistance and weathering resistance. However, due to concerns about severe negative consequences if field performance does not match laboratory tests, MnDOT standards will permit recycled brick in aggregate only in proportions up to 1 percent by mass.
