Benefits of MnROAD Phase-II Research

Status:  Complete
Report Date:  05/28/2015

Summary:

This project summarizes the benefits of MnROAD Phase II research, covering work completed between 2007 and 2016. Projects that are likely to produce significant benefits include investigations of low-temperature asphalt cracking, design of concrete overlays for existing asphalt pavements and innovative grinds to improve concrete surfaces. Researchers conservatively estimate a benefit-cost ratio of 3.8, which does not incorporate the value of MnROAD as a demonstration facility for new technologies.
