Clear Roads: Training Video for the Implementation of Liquid-Only Plow Routes

Summary:

State requested responses to address transportation agencies' need to collect data about recent winter events, including forecasts and actual recorded weather. Timely, detailed, and easily-accessible weather data will help agencies reconstruct weather events - particularly those that were unexpectedly severe or that caused major accidents - as a part of after-action reports and studies. This project will be completed in two parts. Part I involves finding, cataloging and categorizing available web-based data sources. It also includes scoping a customized web tool to adapt or extend existing data sources to make the data more accessible and usable. Upon completion of Part I, the project funders will decide whether to proceed with Part II, the creation of the tool scoped in Part I, along with associated support and training materials.
