Pavement Texture Evaluation and Relationships to Rolling Resistance at MnROADStatus: CompleteReport Date: 07/02/2013 Summary: Researchers developed a detailed three-dimensional representation of pavement textures at MnROAD using the RoboTex line-laser profiler, and related this and other pavement surface characteristic data to rolling resistance. Results showed that there are many possible combinations of surface characteristic variables that can predict rolling resistance in pavements, with skewness particularly important for concrete and macrotexture level for asphalt.
