TRS: Use of Content Management Systems, Tools, and Website Best Practices by State Departments of TransportationStatus: CompleteReport Date: 07/10/2018 Summary: MnDOT's Office of Communications is considering the adoption of a content management system (CMS) to manage the agency's main website and more than 150 subsites. To inform its selection of a CMS, MnDOT is seeking information from other state departments of transportation (DOTs) and Minnesota state agencies about their use of CMS. MnDOT is also interested in information about web operation practices to help streamline internal web content management and website practices. This Transportation Research Synthesis presents the findings of a survey sent to all 50 state DOTs and selected Minnesota state agencies.
