Summary:

Since the 2009 guide's publication, a lot has been learned about inspection, operation, and maintenance of these and other stormwater management practices through field applications, practical experience, and research. This project will update, revise, and expand the 2009 resource guide to incorporate over a decade’s worth of knowledge gained. For example, guidance was added for inspection and maintenance on iron-enhanced sand filters and nutrient release from bioretention-based practices and stormwater ponds, among others. The revised and expanded Stormwater BMP Maintenance Resource Guide will serve as a handy reference tool for practitioners to optimize decisions and increase the cost-effectiveness of stormwater management.
