This project reviewed 11 urban sites where roadways underwent Complete Streets reconstruction projects, the introduction of features such as narrowed lanes, parking lanes, pedestrian terraces or curb extensions designed to make roads more usable by nonmotorized travelers. Crash data from these sites suggested no significant negative safety impacts as a result of the Complete Streets implementations, and anecdotal evidence suggested no negative impact on operations.
