Guides for Choosing Work Zone Layouts for Low-Volume Roads Status: CompleteReport Date: 04/29/2016 Summary: This project adapted MnDOT's Temporary Traffic Control Zone Layouts Field Manual into two guidebooks to help local engineers select the work zone setups that are suitable for low-volume urban and rural roads. The guidebooks do not replace the field manual, but they do highlight the information related to low-volume roads to make it easy for local engineers to find and apply to their construction or maintenance projects. This project's technical advisory panel also made recommendations to the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices committee about additional layout options that would be useful for low-volume roads.
