TRS: Asset Management Building Services Comparative Scoping Methodology

Summary:

MnDOT's Building Services Section is developing a standardized scoping methodology to use for future district headquarters, truck stations, salt sheds, warm storage and cold storage. There are several scoping processes used by experts in the public and private sectors, both in Minnesota and out of state. Research is needed to evaluate the scoping practices utilized by adjacent states, MnSCU, other State of MN agencies, 3M and possibly other entities. What scoping practices best fit MnDOT's business model? What type of streamlined scoping process could be developed that would mirror the best processes discovered in this study?
