Summary:

MnDOT has instituted a policy to install flashing yellow arrows on all new signal heads. The purpose of this research was to determine the risk of using flashing yellow arrows at various times during the day. More data is needed but the research team was able to develop a tool to provide a risk value. Find the tool and an instructional video under related materials below.
