Characterization, Functional Longevity, and Performance of Natural textiles Configured as Sediment Control

Summary:

The purpose of this project is to evaluate natural textile-based alternatives to traditional sediment barriers used on construction sites. It will focus on the life cycle of construction stormwater management practices including design, placement, installation, inspection, maintenance and disposal. The research will investigate physical properties of natural-based textiles that are suitable for use in sediment control applications.
