Asphalt Pavement Cracking Performance Data Analysis

Status:  Active
Project Start Date:  11/23/2022

Summary:

This study will enhance previous research and is motivated to evaluate newer and potentially more applicable disc-shaped compact tension (DCT) post-peak indices in addition to the Gf parameter for characterization of mixture reflective and thermal cracking properties, substantially improve the reliability of performance thresholds using collected pavement field cracking performance (both in terms of extent and severity), and develop a statistical model that can be used to predict the cracking performance of asphalt mixtures as a material selection and mix design tool.
